Hello, I’m Marivel. My life revolves around the whirlwind of a demanding job, a loving husband, 2 grown-up sons, and the heartwarming chaos of our four pet companions. Our home is shared with a diverse quartet of dogs: a wise 14-year-old 17-pound Cockapoo named Phoofuls, a Mensa-smart and spirited 11-year-old 15-pound Chihuahua Poodle mix named Juka, a feisty 6-year-old 5-pound Maltese Jack Russell blend named Sylph, and the newest addition, a surprisingly calm 4-year-old 7-pound mixed Chihuahua Dachshund with a strawberry-blond coat named Chin.
Navigating through long work hours has become second nature to me, but amid the hustle, my solace lies in the unconditional love from our canine companions. Phoofuls, very hard of hearing, but still has sharp eyes and keen sense of smell, is the dignified elder queen of the pack. She sits regally on her favorite spot on the couch. Her wise eyes filled with a lifetime of stories. As I settle in, she nudges me gently, a silent reminder that no matter how chaotic the day has been, a loyal friend is always there to share the burden.
Juka, the smart, beauty and brawn gray-black dynamo, is a perpetual source of energy. Her antics bring laughter to our lives, a testament to the fact that age is but a number when it comes to the spirit of a loving dog. When I need a break from the stress of the day, Juka’s playful leaps and bounds serve as an instant mood lifter.
Sylph, the petite bundle of joy that defies her size. Her vivacious personality and unwavering loyalty make her the heartbeat of our home.
